Getting images from a Word document into Canvas, and then into a quiz question.

First, let’s save the image from the Word doc, next we’ll upload that image to Canvas, and finally, we’ll link it to the question.

Saving the image:
1. Open the document.
2. Click on the image you want to save, then right click on the same image.
3. Select Save as Picture (see below).
4. Save the image to your computer.

Once you have the picture saved, upload it to Canvas.
1. In your course in Canvas, click Files on the left navigation.
2. Click upload.
3. Locate the file you just saved and upload it. (To save time, save all the images in the word document and then upload them all at the same time.)

Last, link the picture to the question.
1. Go to quizzes and select your quiz.
2. Click edit.
3. Click the questions tab and create a new question.
4. Click inside the editor box as you would to enter text.
5. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see this:

Click on the image that you want to insert in the question. It should appear.

Probably the easiest way to do this is to paste the text for the question into a new question first, and then click the cursor to the place where the image would go. Then select your image as you see above.
